Chris Maunder
Director
Chris founded Thrive Economics in 2010 following over a decade working for organisations distributing Government funding. He is regularly commissioned to develop business cases, appraise programmes and projects and complete independent evaluations. He holds a Masters in Business Administration and BSc Geography Degree, and is a PRINCE2 qualified Project Manager.
Dom Chapman
Director
Dom joined Thrive Economics in 2023 having previously been an Associate Director with GENECON leading on its economic impact and research service. Dom is an experienced economic geographer, adept in Economic Modelling, Appraisal and Impact Assessment. He is proficient in primary and secondary research and detailed statistical data review and he has advised on and appraised business cases for more than 200 planned investments nationally
Peter Ide
Consultant
Peter joined Thrive Economics in 2011 and over the past ten years has completed a wide range of commissions including writing business cases, completing independent appraisals and interviewing service users and stakeholders to inform evaluations.

Recent joint commissions include of Scottish Government’s Innovation Centre programme; and, the development of a monitoring and evaluation approach for West Yorkshire Combined Authority to inform a Levelling Up Fund submission.

Nicky is highly experienced in supporting clients to develop evidence-based inclusive economic strategy, policy and practice; with a track record in leading stakeholder engagement to identify priorities, evaluate practice and report on recommendations for future action. Her work has a strong focus on fairness and inclusive growth, including expertise in harnessing the power of anchor institutions. We have collaborated with Nicky on multiple evaluation and facilitation based projects at LEP level, including on skills, business support and strategy development.

Les has led many economic and inclusive growth strategies at regional and local level, including evidence, stakeholder engagement and strategy writing. His experience spans economic, social and environmental roles and Les is expert in integrated approaches that combine all aspects of business growth and economy, skills, sustainability and inclusion. Les had directed a regional intelligence observatory and is also highly proficient in research, analysis and evaluation.

Nalin has over two decades working at a strategic level in private sector construction and local authority property, development, and regeneration. He was previously Chief Property officer to both Plymouth and Sheffield City Councils. While at Sheffield Nalin led on the strategic implementation of the Heart of the City development and more recently led on the delivery of Sheffield’s City Centre Strategic Vision in his role as Director of City Centre Development.
