Funding track record
We have written compelling business cases that have secured millions of pounds of funding for our public sector clients. Some examples of the Funds we have worked on for our clients are provided below.
Community renewal
Community Renewal Fund
This £220 million Fund was launched in 2021 as a precursor to the Shared Prosperity Fund. The Fund is now closed but we assisted several organisations submit strong applications. We are also supporting clients to evaluate their Community Renewal Fund projects.
Heritage and culture
Cultural Development Fund
This Fund seeks to unlock local growth and productivity, and regenerate communities through place-based creative and cultural initiatives. We assisted Barnsley Council to submit a bid to the Fund’s second phase for Elsecar Heritage Centre.
Low carbon and transport
Local Sustainable Transport Fund
This £540 million fund ran to 2015 and was designed to implement the Government’s Creating Growth, Cutting Carbon Strategy. We designed a scheme to enable businesses to trial electric cars, vans and trucks and secured financial support from the Fund.
Transforming Cities Fund
This £2.45 billion fund is aimed at driving up productivity through investments in public and sustainable transport infrastructure. We are assisting West Yorkshire Combined Authority to develop an Evaluation Framework for their £319 million programme.
Housing
Brownfield Housing Fund
This Fund was launched to accelerate housing on brownfield sites. We are completing independent appraisals on behalf of the North of Tyne Combined Authority.
One Public Estate
We completed a successful application to the Government’s One Public Estate fund on behalf of a Combined Authority. The programme included the creation of housing on a brownfield site and the creation of a health and well-being village.
Place making and town centre regeneration
European Structural and Investment Funds
This £3.6 billion Fund included the European Regional Development Fund. We assisted numerous clients to complete successful applications to the Fund including the University of York who established the Creative Media Lab.
Get Building Fund
The £900 million Getting Building Fund was launched in 2020 to deliver jobs, skills and infrastructure across the country. We have helped Local Authorities secure funding and completed independent appraisals on behalf of West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
Growth Deals
Growth Deals were established between UK Government and Local Enterprise Partnerships and Combined Authorities and ran until March 2021. We assisted clients to access funding for regeneration programmes and we provided independent appraisal services.
Levelling Up Fund
Launched in 2021 the Fund seeks to tackle economic differences across the UK and drive prosperity. We assisted several Local Authorities to develop strong bids to the Fund’s first phase.
Towns Fund
This £3.6 billion Fund launched in 2019 supports local economic growth in towns across the UK. We are assisting several Local Authorities to complete Full Business Cases to secure funding.
